The SoAgeless mission is to become a powerful source and force with a mantra that makes it clear that we, the Baby Boomers, will live by a brand new attitude: Act your Ageless! It is a turning point toward agelessness! We must sear into our collective psyche that agelessness is IN and generational stereotypes are on their way OUT! While many fabulous blogs, websites, and books exist on the subjects of embracing aging and helping an ageist society be more inclusive, my blog is all about inspiring you to Act your Ageless! Therefore, what will clearly differentiate SoAgeless from all the other blogs and websites, will be “Gigi” exemplifying LIVING… not aging! I will offer you regular shots of ageless…

My Five Style Muses and Icons
I love each one of these women for their incredible fashion taste, but more for the radiance that they exude. That’s the special ingredient that turns taste into “style”. It comes from within and is what makes you unique, after all. What’s your style? Who are your style muses and icons? Jackie Kennedy Onassis aka Jackie O. is most notably known as the First Lady to the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. She led the pack when it came to Chanel and pillbox hats – but when I say “led the pack” I mean it – she was bold, daring, and a non-conformist. Absolutely stunning in style and spirit for her time. (July 28, 1929 –…
Media Condescension Toward Women
While reading the last two questions in a New York Times interview with Linda Rodin where the interviewer asked how she felt about “young women dyeing their hair gray” and “aging gracefully”, I couldn’t help but feel upset. Why is it that nearly every article I read about older women brings up youth and appearance. It’s 2016. Ask us about something else. Not all of us are sitting around in fits of nostalgia, feeling sorry for ourselves and our newfound wrinkles. I’m looking for media outlets where there is no prejudice, but there aren’t that many out there! And why is it that older men are never asked about “aging gracefully”? When the media keeps sharing secrets on how to…
I am SoAgeless
I refuse to apologize for growing OLDER. For me, turning 50 was a celebration! When I created my personal Facebook page after I turned 50, I was proud to state my FULL birth date: July 4, 1958. I was surprised when people would tell me that I was courageous for doing so, especially being a woman! Similarly, when I also created the ~ Over 50 & Irresistible ~ Facebook page, people wanted to celebrate it by saying, “50 is the new 30”! My reaction was, “NO! Let’s call it what it truly is: 50 is the new 50!” Let’s stop living in denial. Instead, the right attitude is to celebrate the simple and profound act of living… being grateful to…
Gigi Schilling: I am an Ageless Provocateur!
Do you consider yourself an Ageless Provocateur for the new SoAgeless lifestyle? Here are some of the ways in which I consider myself one: In 2010, I created my Facebook page, Over 50 & Irresistible, with the tagline, “The Art of Being Ageless!” There were very few women talking about “over 50” issues, so I was inspired to create change and start the ageless movement. I wasn’t purposefully advocating against an ageist society or trying to be a guru, I simply wanted to inspire others to get the conversation going through my philosophical, ageless scribblings about celebrating the over 50 life! I observed then, and continue to see, strong “Self-Ageism” in people turning 50, and of course the ageist society surrounding that…
